Mini-Ciono
January 2008
Wacom Intuos 9×12, Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0
I’m crankin’ ’em out, this month. Mini-Ciono marks the fourth Mini I’ve made here in January (but probably the last). He’s also a Christmas present. You can do these things, when you’re an artist.
I had originally set out to draw the vehicle from Drill Dozer today, but after a couple of failed attempts, this design began to gel in my head instead. Like the Bob-Ombs of Mario Versus Donkey Kong, Ciono is a wind-up, but different from the other Minis. A lower toy life-form, if you will, indicated by his different wind-up key. Interesting, eh?
Just imagine him plopping along, his little hands and wings flopping as he goes. The wings sort of look like bunny ears or Valkyrie helmet accents.
