Back in 2004, getting a photo of somebody onto a computer was still a huge pain in the ass. So as I was designing Eric’s character for the Pokémon fan comic I was working on at the time, he tried to explain to me exactly how big and wild his hair was. I didn’t just give him an afro because I didn’t think anybody wore that fashion any more. I guess he showed me!
