Today’s haiku comes to us from Señor Booyah.
Okay, circle drawn.
Dot the eyes, add great big smile…
Oh! Hello Kirby!
This picture was a good opportunity to re-make the Kirby portrait I drew in 2007, which has been enjoying a surge of popularity on deviantART.

Today’s haiku comes to us from Dr. Billy.
All this miasma…!
Suddenly, a friendly sound.
Kupo! Hi, Moogle!

Today’s haiku comes to us from Jackanapes.
Wheatley, don’t do it!
They say if you do, you’ll die!
Oh… Well, I guess not.
Drawing that eye was just as fun as you might suspect it was!

Today’s haiku comes to us from Jackanapes.
Smack, gobble, chomp, chew…
Tasty treats, these Pikmin things.
Bulborb wants some more!
The Bulborb is really more ovoid than spherical, but with “orb” in its name I knew I had to find a way to make it work for the constraints of this blog.
My personal theory about green Pikmin? Glad you asked! I think they have two leaves below their eyes in the shape of Luigi’s moustache, and can camouflage themselves.

Welcome to GLOBULORB! Today’s haiku comes to us from Retro.

Chomping on Power Pellets
Pretzels for Pac-Man.
Special thanks to FyberOptic for locating the soundtrack to Pac-Man World Rally – I listened to it many times over as I hammered this picture out!

Starting on Monday, I’ll be updating Snipe Blog with a new daily doodle feature called GLOBULORB. The name is a portmanteau of two synonyms for “ball” – namely, “globule” and “orb”.
This time, all the pictures will be of video game enemies (and other characters that fall into the criteria) who are largely spheroid (Examples: Torble, Hurble, and Darble). If its whole body will fit in the template shown below without it having to bend or suck in its gut, then it’s a prime candidate to be a GLOBULORB sketch.
Your suggestions for subject matter must be phrased in the form of a five-seven-five haiku.
There’s no limit to the suggestions you can post on the Snipe Board, so try your best to think of round characters you want to see drawn.
I look forward to reading your suggestions, and bringing them to sketchy-life!

THE END…. or is it?
Thanks for tuning in for these past fifty doodles. I’ve had a good time drawing them and I hope you’ve had a good time looking at them. See you soon for our next recurring Snipe Blog feature… GLOBULORB!
